Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department
Role Overview:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality care through assessment, planning, and evaluation. In this role, you will provide direct patient care within the ED scope of practice, manage patient/family education, and lead junior nursing personnel. You must be able to respond rapidly to changing clinical conditions and maintain strict adherence to professional nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Excellence: Assess and manage patient conditions, responding quickly and accurately to changes in treatment response.
- Communication: Maintain proactive communication with physicians regarding diagnostic results and symptomatology.
- Compliance: Ensure full knowledge of EMTALA regulations and mandatory reporting requirements for child/adult abuse.
- Telemetry Support: Maintain standards of care while managing patients in Telemetry as needed.
- Confidentiality: Uphold strict patient privacy and HIPAA standards.
Requirements & Certifications:
- Licensure: Current and valid State Registered Nurse (RN) License.
- Core Certifications: Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Safety Training: BVP (MAB) training required.
- Preferred Qualifications: NIHSS/Stroke Certification; COVID-19 vaccination/boosters.
