Job Summary
Join a high-volume, fast-paced Operating Room department specializing in complex life-saving procedures. This role is essential to our multidisciplinary surgical team, providing expert support for open-heart, thoracic, vascular, orthopedic, and general medical surgeries.
Key Responsibilities
- Specialized Surgical Support: Provide primary support for high-acuity cases, including Open Heart, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
- Multi-Specialty Versatility: Rotate through various surgical services including orthopedic and general medical cases in a busy OR environment.
- Documentation: Utilize Epic EHR for all patient records, surgical counts, and intraoperative documentation.
- On-Call Participation: All staff (including agency/travel personnel) are required to participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 coverage.
- Sterile Environment: Adhere to strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards during high-stakes procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a busy Operating Room department.
- Specialty Expertise: Proven experience in Open Heart surgery is strictly required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Epic EHR is a mandatory requirement.
- Availability: Flexibility to work rotating weekends and holidays.
- Call Requirement: Commitment to the departmental on-call rotation is essential.
