Operating Room (OR) Nurse 

Schedule & On-Call Requirements:

• On-Call Rotation: Shifts vary.
• Monday – Friday: Typically 16-hour on-call coverage (excluding holidays).
• Saturdays & Sundays: 24-hour on-call coverage.
• Reliability: Must have reliable transportation to meet call-back response times.

Clinical Scope & Specialties:

• Core Competencies: Proficiency in General Surgery, Neurosurgery, Spine, Orthopedics, and Urology.
• Specialty Training: Experience in Ophthalmology (Eyes) and Dental is preferred; however, on-site training will be provided for these specialties.
• Independence: Ability to work independently following successful completion of department orientation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Education/Training: Must have completed AORN 101 training.
• Certification: CNOR (or CAORN equivalent) certification is highly preferred.
• EMR Proficiency: Knowledge of electronic documentation required; experience with Meditech is a plus (on-site training provided).
• Communication: Must be proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
