Are you a CNC pro with a passion for precision? We’re looking for a CNC Lead to join our dynamic team, where your skills will help drive innovation and efficiency in our state-of-the-art facility. If you’ve got experience with 5-Axis CNC machines, we want to talk to you!

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Master the Machines: Program and operate our 5-Axis CNC, and within a reasonable timeframe, become familiar with all CNC machines in the department.
  • Programming Power: Familiarity with similar CNC programming software will set you up for success.
  • Troubleshooting Extraordinaire: Help keep our machines running smoothly by solving issues and optimizing operations.
  • Create and Innovate: Develop NC code to craft both standard and custom parts.
  • Design Brilliance: Generate 3D CAD drawings using NX software to bring designs to life.
  • Keep Things Running: Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly machine maintenance to ensure maximum performance.
  • Manage Inventory Like a Pro: Maintain accurate sheet inventory levels and troubleshoot any discrepancies.
  • Optimize for Excellence: Reprogram designs to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and hit due dates with precision.
  • Teamwork Vibes: Lead by example, promote positivity, and keep your manager in the loop with any job-related updates.

What You Bring to the Table:

  • High school diploma or GED required, with at least 1 year of experience in computer drafting, “G” and “M” code writing, and technical drawing.
  • Ideally, 7+ years of CNC machine operation experience—your experience is invaluable.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints like a pro.
  • Strong communication skills: You can read manuals, write reports, and present to both customers and your team with confidence.

The Numbers Matter:

  • Proficient in machining math, with a solid understanding of algebra, trigonometry, and geometry.

Physical Requirements:

  • You’ll be standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs occasionally), and using your hands to bring creations to life.
  • Strong vision is a must—close, distant, color, and peripheral vision, along with depth perception and focus adjustments.

Work Environment:

  • You’ll be working with mechanical parts, experiencing the occasional fumes, and possibly encountering electrical elements. The shop can get warm (it’s not air-conditioned), and noise levels tend to be high—but that’s the sound of progress!
